Cunningham Travels to Jordan to Appraise 500 Commericial/Industrial Properties

John Cunningham is currently fulfilling an assignment in Jordan appraising about 500 commercial/industrial properties for the Aqaba Development Company. The property is at the top of the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. The lack of an active, competitive market calls for creative ways to estimate the value of the Company's assets.

The weather is warm enough that John got to swim in the Red Sea. Within five miles of Aqaba are three other countries, Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

John visited Bethlehem on Christmas Eve and was surprised by the friendliness of Palestinians. He expected more hostility to Americans. He has a new perspective about our loss of civil liberties due to security concerns after September 11. Americans have no idea how limiting it can be to live with really severe security concerns. Our loss of liberties is negligible compared to some other countries.
